What is an Integrated Management System?
An Integrated Management System combines the requirements of several ISO standards into a single set of processes, documents, and audits — rather than running three separate systems side by side. Because ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 share a common structure (the Annex SL High-Level Structure), an organisation can plan, operate, and improve them together: one context analysis, one risk register, one internal audit programme, one management review. The result is less duplication, lower cost, and a management system that reflects how the business actually works.
The Three Standards
Quality Management
Consistent products and services, customer focus, process approach, risk-based thinking, and continual improvement.
Environmental Management
Environmental aspects and impacts, compliance obligations, lifecycle perspective, and measurable environmental performance.
Occupational Health & Safety
Hazard identification, worker participation and consultation, operational control, and incident prevention.
What You Will Cover
Following DNV's Integrated Management System syllabus, with ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015 and ISO 45001:2018 used as reference throughout.
How the three disciplines support business performance instead of sitting in separate silos.
What a management system is, what the ISO management system standards are, and what changes when two or more are combined into one.
Less duplication, lower cost to maintain, and one coherent picture for management to act on.
How to bring existing quality, environmental and safety systems together into a single standard set of procedures.
Handling quality, environmental and occupational health & safety risk in one framework rather than three separate registers.
Using ISO 19011 to plan and run one audit across all three standards, and the four stages of the audit cycle.
Day 1 covers the foundations. The full topic breakdown across the three days will be shared with registered participants once the remaining dates are confirmed.
